Field Trips
Individual classes will take field trips of educational interest during the year. So that your child may participate, notices sent home by the teacher must be signed for permission to participate and be returned no later than the day before the trip occurs. In cases where parental permission is not granted, the child will be given special work and be assigned to another class for the duration of the trip.
Parent drivers must be able to accommodate children with seatbelts for each as Florida law mandates. No children under 100 pounds will be allowed in the front seat in cars with front seat air bags.
Drivers must register in the office to drive each and every time they drive for a field trip. Please bring your driver’s license, registration and insurance coverage card to be copied each time. This is required to verify that each driver has a current license and that each vehicle is insured at the time of the actual trip.
Parents who have younger children are asked not to bring them on field trips, as we cannot consider you as a chaperone. We want each of the students to get the most out of their educational experience while having the appropriate supervision to insure everyone’s safety. We appreciate your cooperation in the joint effort to make field trips safe yet memorable events.
It is required that each vehicle transporting children have two adults. No vehicle will stop for any purpose other than those stops scheduled by the teacher. Please make sure your vehicle has adequate gas for the trip.
