Test & Grading
In addition to regular subject testing, the Sanford Achievement Test is administered to students in grades 1 - 8 each spring. Accurate records are kept in the school office. These tests are used to the best advantage in the teaching of your child. All information is kept in the strictest of confidence and used in a professional way. The teachers and principal are ready to interpret these results to parents regarding their child.
Student Records, Access To
Sarasota Lutheran School operates in accordance with the Family Rights and Privacy Act of 1975. A student’s parents may access the student’s educational records. Other than the parents, only authorized certified personnel, the student, authorized government officials and other appropriate authorities in a health or safety emergency may access the student’s educational records without the approval or the notification of the student’s parents. The principal shall be the custodian of the Sarasota Lutheran School records. It is his/ her responsibility to respond in a timely manner to requests for viewing school records.
Grading Scale
A – Excellent 94 – 100
B – Good 85 – 93
C – Average 76 – 84
D – Poor 67 – 75
F – Failure below 66
S – Satisfactory
N – Needs Improvement
U – Unsatisfactory
C – Conference Requested
