Sarasota Lutheran School is owned and operated by Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. The school board is composed of members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. This board determines policies for the school in accordance with the overall vision for Christian education in the congregation.

The goals and objectives of this board are:

• To support the administration in their day-to-day management of the overall operation of the school.
• To set policies to help each child reach his potential intellectually, aesthetically, spiritually, emotionally, physically and recreationally in a Christ-centered environment.
